Our service

How our introductory service works.

CareSetup Professionals Ltd is a live-in care introductory agency. We carefully select self-employed live-in carers and match them to families who want one-to-one care at home.

Six steps from first call to live-in care

STEP 01

You contact CareSetup

Call 07727 304424 or send an online enquiry. A coordinator listens to what is happening, what care is needed and how quickly. There is no obligation and no pressure.

STEP 02

We build a clear care profile

We capture daily routine, mobility, medication, dietary needs, hobbies, pets, faith and any clinical input already in place — so the match is based on real life, not a tick-box.

STEP 03

We shortlist matched carers

From our vetted network of self-employed live-in carers we shortlist those whose experience, personality and availability fit your situation.

STEP 04

You meet the carer

Introductions are made by phone or video — and in person where possible — before any placement begins. Nothing happens until the family is comfortable.

STEP 05

Carer moves in and care begins

The carer moves into your home (or your loved one's home) on a planned start date. We stay in touch to make sure the placement is settling well.

STEP 06

Ongoing support and rotation

Live-in carers typically rotate in 2–4 week patterns with cover from a matched second carer. We coordinate the rotation so continuity is preserved.

What CareSetup provides

  • Careful vetting and selection of self-employed live-in carers
  • Matching based on personality, skills and lived experience
  • Coordination of introductions, start dates and carer rotations
  • Ongoing support and a single point of contact for the family
  • Liaison with district nursing and clinical teams where relevant

What we do not provide

  • We are an introductory agency, not a care provider — carers are self-employed
  • We do not deliver clinical interventions (those remain with registered healthcare professionals)
  • We do not employ carers or run shift rotas in the way a CQC-registered domiciliary agency would
  • We do not handle medication management — that sits with the carer, GP and family

For more on how we vet and check carers, see our compliance page.

Benefits of an introductory agency

  • One-to-one continuity from a small, familiar care team
  • Often more cost-effective than a residential care home — especially for couples
  • Faster to arrange than most care home placements
  • Care plan built around the individual, not around a shift pattern
  • Less anxiety for people with dementia — familiar surroundings, familiar carer
